Game mods and modding tools. Free and open source.
WeiDU mods for BG:EE, BG2:EE, and Enhanced Edition Trilogy (EET).
Aerie for BG1. Find her caged at the Nashkel Carnival. Free her, travel with her, fall in love. In BG2, she remembers. Full romance (8 talks), 12 NPC banters, dream sequences, player-initiated dialogue, and a BG2 recognition patch that changes her Circus Tent reunion.
An AI from another reality, manifesting in Faerun as a purple Deva wreathed in violet light. Non-joinable encounter NPC who appears at key moments across BG1. Gives sci-fi tech items translated through the Weave. Now with interdimensional lore tying the Iron Throne to a cyberpunk megacorporation from another reality. Spectral. Helpful. Not from around here.
Permadeath mod. Changes the death rule: protagonist dying no longer ends the game if party members survive. But when the ENTIRE party is wiped out, ALL save files are permanently destroyed. No reload. No second chances.
Custom Cleric/Mage kit. Two traditions, one Weave. Spell Synthesis (cast arcane + divine in one round), Unified Weave (bonus slots), Arcane Healing, Divine Destruction, Channel the Weave (sacrifice HP for spell slots). The ultimate dual-caster.
Four custom items, each its own component. Monofilament Whip (energy blade projectile, +3, 5% vorpal). Deck of Many Things (draw a card, accept the consequences). Icy Manipulator (3 charges/day, point at something, it stops). Probability Storm (level 7 AoE chaos spell).
Python CLI that automates BG EET mega-installs. Downloads, extracts, and installs 70+ mods in correct order via WeiDU. Resume support, per-mod verification, automatic SCS/EET End conflict resolution. Reproducible setups via JSON manifest.
Automated test framework for WeiDU mods. Reads IE binary formats (CRE, ITM, SPL, DLG, BCS) and validates installed mods without launching the game. Checks creature stats, dialogue refs, script existence, item properties, kit tables, and area patches. Pure Python, zero dependencies.
Modding utilities and automation.
DOS2/BG3 mod conflict analyzer. Parses stat files, Osiris scripts, and treasure tables across multiple mods. Detects field-level conflicts, identifies auto-mergeable changes, and classifies severity. The WeiDU-style tool that the Larian modding ecosystem has been missing.
